Le Grand Noir Sauvignon Blanc 750ml (France)
Internal Categories / Internal Hamper Food & Drink
Le Grand Noir Sauvignon Blanc "Les Deux Mondes" is a dry, freshly fruity French white from the Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France. "Les Deux Mondes", the two worlds, refers to its mix of vibrant New World character and Old World subtlety, created by blending grapes grown on different soils and at different altitudes.
Le Grand Noir was created by wine critic and author Robert Joseph with winemaker Hugh Ryman, working with a group of young vignerons to make wines that are fascinating but approachable.
Tasting notes
- Refreshingly grassy, with green fig, papaya and lychee
- Classic Sauvignon notes of capsicum, tomato leaf, cassis leaf and gooseberry
- Dry, crisp and unoaked
Food pairing
Great with fish and white meat dishes, and especially good with seafood. Delicious on its own too.
